After a promising opening stand of 142 we lost 10 for 60 after to be all out for 202.
In all honesty this is the worst Australian Test batting line up I can remember in my lifetime even in that dark era of the mid 80s we still had the likes of Allan Border, Steve Waugh, David Boon, Dean Jones etc.

Not quite what we envisaged this time 24 hours ago when 10 wickets had fallen for 512 runs on the first two days.
Today saw 13 wickets fall for 217 runs, with 33-year-old Pakistan off--spinner Bilal Asif taking 6-36 on debut.
I can see Pakistan setting Australia 500 to win in four sessions and us crumbling for 150 in two.
Taking into account our 5-0 ODI thrashing by England, I bet Justin Langer wishes he was back coaching the Warriors.

I'm not sure of the accuracy of this threads title...West Pakistan? I only know Pakistan which became a sovereign state in 1947...is there a West Pakistan?

If you ever look at an old map of India pre 1948.West Pakistan,Cylon,Bangladesh and Nepal.Are all states of the Indian nation.

The devil's number certainly raised its ugly head with 3 quick wickets....obviously going to be a huge task, but a great opportunity for some players to show Langer their ilk.....disappointing that both WA boys succumbed meekly as they did...really needed one of them to ground out a long innings ...but not meant to be.......not sure whether some folks here will be happy to see the current two batsmen and the next two batsmen in to save the day or not.....be interesting to see if Aust can push the game into a 3rd session....can't see a draw TBH....but atleast show some fight.

BC there was/is indeed a West Pakistan, which is whom we are playing at the moment. East Pakistan broke away from West Pakistan in 1971 and re-nammed itself Bangladesh. They did so, in fact, with the help of India.

AUS are 5/289 at tea on Day 5 chasing 462 for victory and or to hang on for a draw.....can we do it?!
