Two polls where conducted last night. One from IPOS and the other from Newspoll. Both polls contacted 6300 from all around Australia.
IPOS 2PP .ALP 52 v LNP 48
Newspoll ALP 51 v 49
Combined ALP 51.5 v LNP 48.5.
The last time the Government won a poll was the last Federal election. But it's still pretty close.Political commentary saids PM Scomo had a good first 2 weeks of the campaign. But Bill Shorten has fought back the last week. With 151 seats with 95,000 voters in each seat. The government need to find about 500,000 votes.Theres lots of swing voters out there but not sure if they will vote for major partys.
In Wa it now looks like Labour might hold onto Cowan. And no seats will change staying at LNP 10 v ALP 5.Differnt to the polls of a month ago that showed 4 Lnp seats in trouble.Little bit of help from the West Australian Newspaper. And federal Labour not showing enough commitment to Wa.

these polls are all crap. Trying to make it look close & exciting.. On a two party preferred Labor would be 60 to Libs 40.
Labor will win very easily in the lower house But in the upper house the Greens will ensure Labor will win (with them)
Greens DONT want Adani BUT QLD Labor do. Greens will stuff up this country if Willy hasn't within a couple of years..

QLD State Labor don’t want Adani - All 3 state Labor seats in Townsville will be lost to the LNP at the next state election.
The only reason the Fed Townsville seat held by Labor’s O’Toole want Adani (however refused to say the ‘A’ on national TV) is that the seat is the most marginal seat in the country and she wants to keep her job.

LS the pollsters if Labours primary vote doesn't gets to around 40%.Its only 37% atm it's a tight election. But you might be right just erratic polls.

So important to Queensland and Australia. As allways the Greene's have no alternative jobs for the Ardani project.

And what is Labors plan to pay down debt if they get in which everyone seems to think is inevitable? Or will we just quietly slip into the trillion dollar debt stratosphere and blame the previous government?

Hopefully Bill's higher wages agenda pays off and the Wendy's small business owner instead of thinking Ohh shit i'm going to have to make hotdogs and thickshakes myself 7 days a week, will be smiling saying Bill was right, higher wages means more people buying hotdogs and thickshakes. Now i can afford to put on an extra staff member and take it easy.
Get on your bike.

The LNP's only hope is for someone in Labour to make a massive screw up in the next 12 days. All we have heard from them is Labour bad, LIberals good, with no policy for how they will better the nation. This means they either havent developed any or they are sticking with what they have now in the hope it will be enough to get over the line.

there within striking distance, but it would have to be a freakish result, such as, the Tories winning a lot of seats very narrowly.

This happened to Howard in 1998, as Sky reminded me; but, it has happened a few times in state politics, particularly in South Australia, where the Tories have polled 53 per cent of the vote on the two party preffered system.and lost the election.

Ark Labour has been in the box seat for all these 3 years. And more-so since Malcom got the bullet. But 37% first preference is the worst Labour result ever.
