Totally agree BC.... can't fault JL passion for the baggy green...just think he is too close to a few of those borderline guys to make tough decisions to say thanks but no thanks

Good news for WA cricket; bad news for Australian cricket for those who would like to see the Australian cricket team's behaviour much improved.

If the new coach is put in charge of the Test team only and not distracted with other duties, the appointment should be a good choice I'd think. Langer obviously has passion for the game. He can be quite an intense person at times.

Congratulations BH you have encapsulated exactly what is the problem with those who totally ignore the appalling behaviour of the Australian cricket team. The pure hypocrisy of the indignation of other countries giving the Australian cricket team a taste of their own behaviour. If one is going to accept the Australian cricket team then don't whinge about other countries' behaviour.

Maybe our cricketers should instead take up such a good mannered sport like tennis then with fine leading examples being Tomic, Kyrgios, McEnroe, Cash et al!

Has he been appointted or not? There seems to be differnet stories coming out

Logic and commonsense says it must be Jason Gillespie - but it's the ACB involved here and I doubt either of those two attributes will even surface let alone be applied
