Really looking forward to this series. I think it is a case of two top class bowling sides up against two very wobbly batting line ups. If they produce some greentops it could be carnage and 3 day tests.

The worry for Australia is the swing & movement in SA - but it'll be a Kookaburra ball not a Duke
Interesting to see who opens with Warner

Should have thought it would be straight forward regarding who opens with Warner, Bancroft. If its not the case then he should not be there and the selectors may have a little trouble answering why.

Oooll looks like Cummins is a monty for the role...LOL

Not as funny as it first sounds mate. His technique is very sound and on the comeback from injury trail was bating at 4 in first grade in NSW.
Bit different to the likes of Johnson and Starc, two very handy bats who have had really good contributions. They were also somewhat more swashbuckling, Cummins may just have a few more strings to the bow.

Be interesting to see how this series pans out.... considering SA only made one score over 300 in 6 full digs v the Indian fast boys, one would hope the likes of Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins could do better.. yep the Indians struggled v Rabada et al....but they have spent the last 18 months on sub continent dust bowls so one would also like to think the Aust batters will do better on the faster bouncier pitches..... whilst all champs AB and Amla are getting on, Elgar looks rock like, the skipper has a dodgy finger, Markham whilst impressive stats is inexperienced and the tail sets in after Dekock at 6....yeah Philander can bat, but hopefully a bit of chin music should sort him out.... interesting to see Dekock and Philander only averaged 14 & 16 v the Indians....

Aust batsmen are no certs I know.....but someone else besides Smith needs to stand up, because he is due a crap series somewhere..... hopefully the Marsh boys can build on their ashes performances, Warner can replicate his last SA tour, Uzzie will carry on from Sydney and Bancroft can get past 20 odd......

Yeah spot on with your comment on Smith Freezin , if he continues his form we probably win the series, but would take a superhuman effort for him to continue his form. We need other Batsmen to stand up, ideally his right hand man Warner.

Get ready for Apartheid Mkll in SA after their new Prime Minister has declared he will take land of every white man and give it to the black man. White South Africans will be coming here in droves while South Africa will be driven into the ground just like Robert Mugabe did to Zimbabwe.

Those bastards wouldn't know how to run a bath.

Hahaha...that's gold DD. :P Mind you...the place has been going down hill economically and in terms of crime etc. since 1994 when Mandela took over.

DD: you might see physical resistance from the Boers -- they have got nothing to lose. Primitive Communism, giving the land the African peasantry, is no way to run a country in the modern world., as you said.

We have won the toss at Durban and batted first and already Bancroft has had a close lbw shout in the first over which was reviewed and shown as missing down leg against Morkel.

In regards the cricket, the Africans have done the right thing by includding an extra batsman, although I am suprissed its not Klassaan rather than de Bruyn -- bloody Dutchmen everywhere.

De Bruyn can bowl a bit as well AR so he will be their 5th choice bowler whilst Klaasen is a keeper.
Bancroft out caught behind to Philander Aust 1/15.
