Went to see the WI v NZ in Christchurch before Xmas....the WI were awful, very sad to see,really think they would be better playing in the level below TBH....but then I don't think they would ever get back. Sir Viv, Curtly, Holding etc must be looking on in dismay....would love to see them back to their 80s hey days.....

Too much money in the USA sports for the West Indies to ever be a force in cricket.

Why would young cricketers try to deal with a disrupted cricket board when they can go to the USA, get good coin playing basketball, gridiron, athletics or even baseball. Get the chance to move your family to the USA and not live in poverty, and play in professional, or even semi professional leagues, or just college sports programs.

Its much more lucrative than playing cricket for the west indies

It is all about Basketball and baseball there now, cricket has been fading for years in WI.

Americanisation does not make you play badly --
