Yes my Freo friends ticked all the boxes "highly unlikely" to the questions around seat prices, food, drinks and so on because the costs being thrown around were astronomical.

Just heard from a mate in Perth who is a long time member. He said renewals come out in November, and he is expecting a rise from $850 to $1000 - and he gets a discount because he is a WCE (Indian Pacific Ltd) note holder.

This is not jumping at shadows, both clubs have surveyed members to see what reaction they get to proposed higher prices, if enough aren't bothered then the substantial increases will cover or balance any loss of season ticket holders. Any suggestion that drops in membership will put the clubs in a precarious financial position is laughable, both these clubs are rolling in dough. They consistently cry poor, cant justify being part of a national reserves comp then without a second thought they find money to start up a womens team (which is a great thing btw), both clubs have no shame, how can you justify rises of the ilk of 17+% as quoted in another post ($850 up to $1000) its just price gouging, these people need to get out of their ivory towers and get down amongst the real people.

Spot on SS, just bear this in mind . The West Coast Eagles aren't just the richest club in the AFL, they are the richest sporting franchise/club in the entire country. Cries of poor are a disgrace.

And I always thought footy was a working mans game too SS those astronomical membership price figures would suggest not!
