Sydney are travelling as well as any side right now. They have engaged the old and the new very well.Just when it looked like the wall was going to collapse on them, up stepped some good, or very good young kids.
Old father time has caught up to Teddy Richards. The Mr Reliable for them down back is retiring at the end of the season, but maybe we have seen him play his last game in the Red and White.Jarrod Mcveigh(31) is nearer the end than the beginning.Kieran Jack(31) is still playing good footy, but maybe the best is behind him.Buddy(30) though still having impacts on games ,is not the dominant force he was when he first went North.Heath Grundy(30),another rock for many years must be getting close to pulling the pin also.
But along come kids like Rampi,Heeney, Rose, Mitchell,if they can keep him.The there are others like,Cunningham,Mills, Parker, Alir, Papley and Lloyd.
Does the future look better for them or will they slide .
A couple that maybe looking to move on from there as well. Will they be able to keep Mitchell.

Yeah they seem to have a bit of a production line up there don't they. When you look at their ladder positions over the past 20 years they have never bottomed out. Since their grand final appearance in 1996, they have only missed finals 3 times in 20 years and the lowest they have finished is in 2009 when they were 12th in a competition with 16 teams. They seem to be able to develop young players like Heeney who seems to be on a level far beyond his years and I can't see them slipping down the pecking order any time soon. The impressive thing about Sydney is how they turn players who on the surface seem selfish and want to be the main man into consummate team players. I think Franklin and Tippett have become far more team oriented since they joined the Swans.

You are correct about Heeney. He is a super kid and due to be a super star,if not already there.
But is seems he was given a rocket a few weeks back and has responded.
Rose is another who has slotted in with out any fan fare.
Papley and Mills have just appeared from almost nowhere to be sitting easily in the side.
Seems that they just have a never ending supply.
