I don't think you understand how dividend imputation works.

An excellent article by Miranda Devine in the Daily Telegraph and repeated in today's West where the poor bloke in Gladstone who had the audacity to ask Shortarse what he was going to do about high wage earners at the port and the amount of tax they pay. Apparently quite a few work extra shifts and pull in around $250k a year as a result. Shorten said he'd "look into it" knowing full well that it's Labor's policy to increase the top marginal tax rate to 49% from 45%. To make matters worse, the poor bugger was banned from entering the port and his company thrown off the site as a result of his putting Shortarse on the spot. The port is owned by the state Labor government....go figure.

May pay to do a bit more research on this one, Miranda Devine/Daily Telegraph and excellent articles? That could be a contradiction.

Interesting to know whether this bloke was suspended for wearing company logo while asking questions in the media? there is many an employer who takes a dim view of this and has policies regarding this, that is not new.
Has the suspension been lifted or has he got a new job?
Have all candidates (major parties that is, only Israel Folau and the good Lord will have any insight to what the Greens may have thought or said) in the seat of Flynn welcome
d his free speech (regardless of company policies)?
Have they all said he should not have been disciplined?
Wouldn't mind seeing the facts (I'll look for now) which back up that his company was thrown off site - sorry excellent articles from Miranda and the Telegraph don't win the day for me, because the two are a walking contradiction regardless of whatever topic they are reporting on.

This is what the Gladstone Ports Corp had to say - appears the Tele may be spreading fake news:

Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) did not suspend a port worker or terminate their contract for talking to Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, as has been suggested by media commentators.

The port worker, a sub-contractor, is still employed by the contractor and carrying out work for their employer.

GPC did not instruct any employees or contractors to attend the visit.

The worker is a sub-contractor, and as such GPC cannot comment on any decisions made by their employers.

That's correct Jack....apparently he's an electrical engineer working for a contractor which was doing some work for GPC and when he went to access the port to go to work, his swipe card had been disabled...he's still employed by the contractor but can't enter the port for reasons unknown...or should I say for reasons that are blatantly obvious to most of us.

Just saw an ad by Labor while I'm watching a recording of the Fremantle v Richmond game and it was frightening to get a glimpse of who might be running the country after the weekend. Heaven help us if Labor gets up is all I can say and just pray they don't do irepairable damage before the next election when the Libs/Nats will be called on again to clean up the mess. I would use an analogy like a Labor teenage party, gatecrashed by the Greens and the Coalition are the parents that are left to clean up the mess and repair the damage.
Get on your bike.

DD the polls have been quiet stable for a few weeks now.But people are saying the LNP+ALP are not leaking there private polling. They think there going to lose marginal seats to each other.
The polls are interesting also Lnp 38-ALP37.5--Greens down -3 to 8%,One Nation down-3 to 5%.That means United Australia could get around 11%.

It is just beyond me how anyone would vote for UAP given their total lack of any coherent policies and attempts to buy seats by flooding the newspapers and internet with their crap. Palmer is trying to run as a Trump type figure but if people are fooled by this, well they deserve him and his stooges.
