Of course you wouldnt see what a waste of time and money these "centre of excellence's" are......do they have them in your abodes of choice England & NZ?!

Still lost me BH.....no doubt you are disgruntled with the SDFC being the centre of excellence for anything to do with footy in the burbs of Bassendean mate....after last week's loss.....what a waste of money and time for all those aspiring footballers......folk should stay with their local clubs eh?

Good effort by big Billy....wicket taker who in tandem with better bowlers around him could be a weapon for Aust.....tho to defend a total u need a total to defend.....and once again none of the Aust went on deep in their respective innings....good to see Short and Carey show some potential....you may be right Ark...Short at 7 could be his spot for now....5-0 ain't the intro JL wanted....but will he pull the plug on Paine in the short format?....me thinks not....36 runs from one of your top 6 ain't a good look.....

Would have been nice to have one win to finish but it wasnt to be, 205 is never going to win too many games and credit to the Aussie bowlers for getting them so close. There have been some good individual batting performances in this series but the batting unit as a whole has never been able to post a competitive score.
They are now off to play a tri series against Zimbabwe and Pakistan where hopefully guys like Carey and Short will get some more opportunities.

Gee the English have enjoyed pasting our ODI and 20/20 team around the park in this series. Unfortunately this may be just the beginning of the pain ( excuse the pun). Even given that the bowling attack will be bolstered by the return of Hazelwood, Starc and Cummins, our batting without Warner and Smith looks completely wafer thin. India will really fancy their chances this summer. Even when the banned players come back it is hard to see the Australians making up enough ground to challenge for the World Cup or the 2019 ashes in UK. The ball tampering scandal has had a seismic impact on Australian cricket and it will take a few years to recover from this IMO. England don't fear us any more and in fact the opposite seems to apply now.

Couple of easy wins v Zimbabwe and Pakistan will see Aust all right Mikeh.....would be a good giggle if Aust came back next year and beat Eng in the WC final after this latest debacle tho....things are definitely going for Eng at present in the ODI format....but 12 months is a long time in sport and who knows which players will be in form come next year.....

Short, Stanlake and Carey have showed snippets of what they can bring to the table......no doubt Warner and Smith will be back.....Lynn, Cummins, Starc and M Marsh ....Perhaps even Pattinson....on paper they bring a lot of quality to the team and on the park are all potential match winners on their day.....be interesting if JL cuts Paine loose tho...loyal fella is our JL....
