Not only was this bloke the most arrogant Premier in history he is providing himself to be just as arrogant or should I say ignorant in opposition. In case you have forgotten Barney Mark McGowan wiped the floor with you at the last election. Now the hypocrite is crying in his little back bench office because the new Premier is doing things differently to him such as wanting to move out of The Emporer's palace and into Dumas House with the rest of his cabinet and wanting to raise a bit of revenue by selling naming rights to a couple of tax payer funded venues.

I recall one of the first "Captains calls" Barnett made was getting rid of the the West Australian govt logo because he said at the time "I don't like it" and reverted back to the coat of arms logo. So millions had to be spent to throw away stationery and signage all over the state and replace it all. This guy is making a huge fool of himself and carrying on like a spoiled child. The sooner the opposition send him off to the farm the better.

Barnett is a bitter and twisted old fool still trying to be relevant. He's had his day on the sun. He should do what most former premiers do and drift off quietly into the sunset and enjoy his generous tax payer funded pension while the rest of us mugs are paying off the credit card he ran up. I've only seen sneakers about 3 times since he's been elected. Both times was to announce power bills going up, you know the ones he promised to keep down, al to raise chicken feed that wont come close to paying off debt.
No doubt he will get a good run opening the stadium be bagged.

Interesting you speak of the new stadium. Exactly what did Barnett do about the Langoulant report into the best site for the new stadium? Oh that's right he scrapped it. Why did he scrap it? Because it was a decision made by the previous Labor Government based on the Langoulant report.

And whilst we are speaking of the Langoulant report. What was the estimated additional cost for the footings of building it where it is being built? $200 million when the report was written.

That is not what the Langoulant report concluded. The report estimated it would cost $200 million dollars for the footings to build where it is currently being built. One would estimate that would be well in excess of $300 million now.

agreed BH....Barney got a whole lot right and even more wrong but he was on the money with the Burswood site. Driving past it I've gotta admit it looks fantastic and is one of the first things visitors will see coming from the airport into the CBD.
