Yep just what this country needs. More men shouting in parliament. Military background just perfect.

The other 4 candidates were women.

How predictable.

"The bloke" is an outstanding candidate with a military background. I would suggest that's just what this country needs, not soft sympathetic bleeding hearts. Leave those for Labor. The day we start putting women in as preferred selections for the sake of having more women in parliament and because parties think that gives them a better chance of victory then we as a country are in trouble.

Equally predictable. ;)

Married, 3 teenagers, ex military and a crisis manager advisor for Woodside. Woodside obviously thinks quite highly of him. Without knowing the credentials of the women available I would say that takes some beating. We not so long ago had our first female PM that has never been married or been a parent. Well at least we've ticked that box.

Oh poor Jack maybe she will fill Julie's fancy shoes in the leafy electorate of Curtin?

Who wears the trousers in your Thai abode Jack? I hope you are SNAG and don't sit back guzzling your favorite Thai lager while the misses does all the chores since you are championing equality for women.

Here is a bit of perspective for you Jack. Enjoy

Thanks for your interest in my domestic arrangements, DD.

Due to the weather, both of us rarely wear pants; and she drinks a lot more of my favourite lager than I do.

Interestingly, there is an election in full swing here at the moment, and judging by the election roadside signs, probably half the candidates are women. But none of them are Bill Burr.

Food for thought.
