I gave my view on the other topic. Let me say if it was a choice between Boris Johnson and Tony Abbott the only possible choice would be Abbott in my opinion. That reflects on how bad Johnson is in my opinion.

gtr: that is right mate. I am opposed to that one year rule, in practical terms it could encourage people to vote against the sitting PM because they will only get one pop at it a year.

I can see her winning the vote, but, as I said above, none of the Euroscpetics or the DUP will vote for her deal even if she survives. To be honest, I am unsure why she cancelled Monday's vote, as it was not a 'vote of confidence' and threfore could not bring her down.

200 to 117 in favour of May suggests that it was not an overwhelming endorsement for May. Additionally, the fact that she has said she would not contest the next general election saved her bacon.

What one can say that is favourable to her compared to Scott Morrison was that when she cancelled the vote on her Brexit deal she fronted up to a severe grilling in the House of Commons including from her own side. Compare and contrast with Scott Morrison and his colleagues who shut down the House of Reps rather than to face his opponents.

Swan42 you are skating on thin ice here. You have been warned before about pushing your political wheelbarrow and providing running political commentary. Your recent topic on "Tele health" is another such example I have taken down. While I defend those who like to engage in political discussions I will draw a line when someone is constantly using this forum to push their own agenda. That is against the spirit of this forum.
