Why are East Perth getting paid $230,000 annually to reinstate funding equal to other non-partner clubs?


Don't they have a fair amount of money already saved up because of the alignment?

Whilst I’m in favour of the ten team comp, I’m disappointed that it was a unanimous vote in favour.

Typical response from the clubs though - ‘Give us all an extra $45k pa and a one off $10k payment and we’ll all vote in favour of West Coast having a stand-alone team in the WAFL’...we really need to challenge our clubs boards on why they keep selling our soul!

Peels supposed to be funded by Fremantle so why do they get West Coasts cash?

Surely the extra $230k granted to EP has a time limit on the arrangement? 2-3 years then it should be spread equally amongst the 8 non-aligned clubs!

Why are Peel (Fremantle Reserves) & Subiaco receiving the same money as the G6 not too mention EP who have beaten the chest about pocketing $1million from the alignment years receiving $230k extra????
Meanwhile SD & Perth will struggle along again doing fark all receiving no help from the WAFC whilst the WAFC babies are pitchforked up the ladder again!

Definitely. This is a much better model to what we had this year. Should of happened back in 2013 or 2014. Presidents had their heads in the sand back then.

Turn it up. They’re a stand alone club now and should get the same funding as the other stand alone clubs regardless of what they might have or not have in the bank regarding the previous alignment agreement.

Yep, as usual the cash bought them off, story of WAFL for last few years.

Anyway we all knew it was happening.

In 10 years or so Peel will change into the Dockers Reserves.

Comissioner Taylor is on the radio.He said it's very important for West Coast to have its own team in the Wafl.For WCE and the Wafl.He doesn't want this team to be like Adelaide in the Sanfl.1 win this year and an average losing margin of 81 points.Some game will be curtain raisers for Afl games at Optus Stadium.With Eagles sellouts will Wafl members get tickets for those Optus games.
