Canning Vale Senior Football Club (Cougars)
Seeking Coaches for 2019
Canning Vale Senior Football Club (Cougars) is still young as a club, being only 8 years old, and as a playing group, but we are extremely successful both on and off the field. ‘On the Field’ we have already secured (5) Premierships:
• 2011 C4 League (Inaugural Year)
• 2012 C3 League
• 2013 Laurie Keene Colts
• 2015 C2 Reserves
• 2017 Laurie Keene Colts
‘Off the Field’ we are a close knit group of mates who enjoy playing competitive football, success and socialising together. We continue to field three teams every year (League, Reserves & Colts) whilst increasing the depth of experience within our playing group i.e. Our first player to 150 Club Games this year.
As a very open and transparent club, whose players drive and take ownership of our culture and future development, the Coaching roles for the 2019 WAAFL season are open for applications. The Cougars welcome applications in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act and Equal Opportunity Act for the following positions:
• League Coach – C2
• Reserves Coach – C2
• Colts Coach – Laurie Keene Colts
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
• Level 2 Coaching qualification for all – Club will assist and pay for accreditation if not already obtained.
• Coaching experience at Senior Level for League, Senior and/or Junior for Reserves & Colts
• Sound knowledge and understanding of football structures and training techniques
• Demonstrated player management, recruitment planning, communication and leadership skills.
• Playing Coach considered for League and Reserves.
• Working with Children’s Card – Club reimburses any costs for renewal or new applications.
Competitive Remuneration Package depended on experience etc.
The Club opened its new change room facilities in 2018 with further expansion plans for Ladies Team, Club rooms, Playing Fields, Lighting and Men’s Team over 2019 and the forthcoming years. We have a large pool of new and young Colts players set for the Club in 2019 and look for the evolving development of these and current players as we continue our growth.
