This week our old mate Flame 'Mongo' Morgan plays his 100th game for Wembley D1....... WOW! What a journey he has travelled. From boot studder to water boy, from Team Manager to Vice President, from player to premiership player ....to 100 games.....very very special!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane on some of Flame's achievements leading up to this wonderful day and celebration!

Debut in 2013 after the coaching staff identified a 'water boy' with a glint in his eye, a cheeky grin and a lust for KFC and Bulmer’s cider

In 2014 Flame suffered a severe Torsion injury (twisted testicles) during the pre-season camp whilst visiting Hungry Jacks, but still managed to dominate as a lively forward pocket, kicking 3 goals for the season.

In 2015 he volunteered to be a guinea pig for UWA sport scientists to create an aerodynamic running style. The program included chicken fat injections to the thigh and elbows and was deemed a failure, however ' The Chicken Running Man' as his team mates named him resulted in premiership glory and of course that unique running style.

Other achievements included Flame being the first player to wear a camera on his scrotum (ScroteCam) , first playing captain/coach in the Women’s league and the first person to play Auskick at 38 with his baby son strapped to his body.

As Flame 'scratches and clucks' through the crepe paper at Pat Goodridge Reserve this Saturday let’s hope his team mates can get around him so he can celebrate his milestone game with a win.

A social note for the day, Flame will be burying his boots in the forward pocket at the southern end of the ground at the completion of the match. Does this mean retirement.....is he doing a Cyril ....is he too young....watch this space and good luck Flame!
