De-listed Carlton forward Matthew Watson is considering relaunching his stalled career in the WAFL if he is overlooked in tomorrow’s AFL rookie draft.The 23-year-old flew to Perth earlier this month and met WAFL clubs East Fremantle and West Perth.West Perth have also given Watson a tour of their facilities at HBF Arena. This year’s beaten WAFL grand finalists are keen to add firepower to their forward line.Watson played 23 AFL games in the past five seasons and booted 27 goals in 15 matches at VFL level this year.

Had a good look around Glenelg too......wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if Watson is wearing Peel colours next year

The news article on Watson indicated that the Gummies were big front runners to get him signed if he doesn't get picked in the rookie draft, Wiley's influence could be the deciding factor, but Joondy are definitely in the mix..............
