Latest injury list out.. So kicked off this game.

Broadcast by 91.3 Not a easy game and none of them are.
Sure the WAFC Commissioners will be hoping for a SF win as then their problems will fall away if WP Losses 2nd spot and will have to play on a day when another game being played.
Believe me they will be sweating on it..
Great to see the club and the players are not influenced by the controversy and just get on with the job..
Important game for all our 3 grades and all the best to them.

Interesting to see Rodda, VB and the road runner (Shannon) are up for test. sure WPFC will not risk them if any doubt at all considering we are playing CLA next week at home and Rodds, VB and Kris will be important for that game

Interesting stats on WP V SF GAMES.

As can be seen SF lead the way. First game of season SF buried us at SF. :(
Home game at Joondalup close even though we couldnt kicks straight that day 17 points

This is a danger game as Freo oval is not a happy hunting ground and SF certainly have something to prove under TC.

DANGER GAME is the first think that comes to mind here, they beat us first round there so we need to be at our best behavior to turn that result around, good luck to the boys, I hope the weather is better tomorrow.

An overview of our chances of a 2nd or 4th position for a home final.

Here is a format for the finals series.. 2 and 4 get a home final. Not sure of
1st Semi and 2nd semi finals?

2015 WAFL Finals Series

ELIMINATION & QUALIFYING FINAL - 5 September weekend

Elimination Final - 4th v 5th
Qualifying Final - 2nd v 3rd

1st & 2nd SEMI FINALS - 12 September weekend

1st Semi Final - Winner Elimination Final v Loser Qualifying Final
2nd Semi Final – 1st v Winner Qualifying Final

PRELIMINARY FINAL - 19 September weekend

Winner 1st Semi Final v Loser 2nd Semi Final

GRAND FINAL - 26 September weekend

Winner 2nd Semi Final v Winner Preliminary Final

Current ladder with 2 rounds to go click for larger image

GAMES TO GO FOR WP Peel and EP who are playing for 2nd and 4th spot for home finals.

WP V SF and CLA WP 48 POINTS %116.63
EP Bye and Subi EP 44 POINTS %115.64
Peel Pth and SF Peel 44 POINTS %103.39

Now comes the hard part

EP have the biggest problem with a bye and Subi which can take them to 48 points if they defeat Subi :)
Peel with wins over Perth and SF could go to 52 points or with one win 48
WP have to win 1 game to goto 52 points and have a good percentage. 2nd spot tiedup

So the way I see it WP have the odds on their side unless they lose both season games which is not impossible. They would remain on 48 points and the worst they can do is drop to 3rd or 4th spot. (preferable 4th for a home final) and it would be a sudden death game v CLA or Swans . The road would also be a bit longer.

A very interesting 2 weeks coming up. But even if the worst scenario happens all is not lost

Looking at the SF V WP game with our in and outs it will be a challenge. More on that later. Hard call for Selection team as it is a matter of whether to play players who are carrying an injury and risk them being out v CLA or resting them so we have a full strength side injury free v CLA. A mix that has to be thought out.
Looking at our selections this week that appears the case with a weaker team playing SF but enabling players to come back next week.
Bottom line we have to win one more game for that 2nd spot and double chance :woohoo:

Article in todays West. Have to agree with it all considering our passion and form this year. Got a couple comming back as well.

Falcons have firm belief in flag tilt click on this link

In part

West Perth are approaching this year’s finals series amid a whirlwind of off-field drama, but star wingman Aaron Black says the mood within the playing group is better than it was in its last premiership season.

The reigning Sandover medallist starred for the Falcons again last week as they moved one step closer to cementing second spot on the ladder with a hard-fought 21-point win over Swan Districts at HBF Arena.

A win over South Fremantle at Fremantle Oval tomorrow will all but guarantee the Falcons a coveted double chance in the finals. Black said this year’s team was different on paper to the one which upset a dominant East Perth side to claim the 2013 premiership, but there were also some similarities.

“The feeling is great. We’ve got a lot of youth and enthusiasm in this group and a lot of exciting kids,” he said.

Perhaps that is what the off- field debacle was supposed to do? Put West Perth off their game?

Knowing the guys I suggest it the opposite effect mate. It inspired them to rub the WAFC nose in it.
It certainly didnt put them off their game :)

I dont believe though the reason for debacle created by CHN 7 and the WAFC was to put them off their game. It goes a lot deeper than that and shows the WAFC'S Incompetence.

Shit I should of put a BIG 9 in that pic.. :P

West Perth now has two weeks to gear up for the finals and having already played six straight matches there might be plenty of sore bodies in the Falcons' line-up with them to not have a break before the finals begin either.

That has led to veteran premiership ruckman Chris Keunen being rested for the clash with South Fremantle at Fremantle Oval on Saturday after he was the best big man on the ground last week against Swan Districts.

That opens the door for Tim Sutherland to make his league debut for West Perth after doing a solid apprenticeship in the reserves for a couple of years now.
