Fair enough Mike i understand where you are coming from. Losing sucks, being a Perth supporter I know what that feels like.

It's happens two weeks in a row DD.1 player in both games has broken loose for 15 minutes and changed the game.Late in the 3rd qtr Clint Jones just kept Perth in possession. And stopped Swans momentum. And the week before a little rover for East Perth called Hille ran riot in the last 15 minutes of that match.

You have some good talls who are very good overhead and their endevour in the 2nd half at least i thought was better than ours and we were lucky to get away with the win. Earl Spalding said at 3 qtr time "they let us off the hook that qtr and we are still in the game". I saw him after the game around the back of the stands as he was walking to the change rooms and said hi, he didn't look a happy coach.

I didn't have a budget but your players looked full of run and had us stretched.

DD at the risk of being too negative it doesn't matter how impressive Swans looked in the 2nd half, you guys got the chocolates and you deserved it. I'm sure the Swans coaching staff will try and create some momentum from the way they played late in the game to take into next week, but ultimately if you don't get the result whether or not you are impressive or fought back well is irrelevant.

well yes and no mate - any coach would rather his side has the ability to remain in games right to the end than get smashed even if that results in narrow losses
Floggings only result in constant demotions & promotions which can only destabilise the base , it provides an opportunity to hone the small things that are hindering rather than constantly dropping players
Three narrow losses way better than three absolute hidings

Last four games have been very frustrating for this swans supporter too - In the game with a winning chance late in time on and losing.

The loss against Perth was the 4th in a row under 10 points - this has only ever happened once before (by Perth in 2007) On 9 occasions has a team lost 3 games in a row by under 10 points

Just re the stat WFF gives out above:
After getting flogged by Subi by 102 points on 30/6/2017 the Demons lost the following 7 games as follows:
4p
7p
4p
8p (this is the run WFF talks about)
12p
6p
17p

So we lost 7 games by a combined total of 56p - an ave of 8p a match.

Makes it one of our better spoons I would have thought.

That 7 game streak of losses by under 18 points is the longest such streak - next longest streak of losses by under 3 goals is 5 by Perth in 1900 and Subiaco in 1920
