Firstly welcome back to the real Royals. Swans v East Perth games have not been the same for the last 5 years for obvious reasons and this Saturday marks the first authentic match between the clubs since 2013.There have been some great battles over the years, one of the most memorable of course was the preliminary final of 2010 in front of 11000 supporters at Bassendean. Ironically Adam Pickering was playing for East Perth that day.

It will be fantastic to see all the loyal Royals out in force on Saturday yelling for their team without having to pretend that they barrack for the Eagles as well. Mind you I am hoping they will be a bit quieter by 5pm as the Swannies storm to victory!

Both teams would see this game as a great opportunity to score their first 4 points of the season. East Perth had the worst possible draw in round 1 and it was no surprise to see them succumb by a large margin to the reining premiers. They will find the going a lot easier this week. As for Swans they need to find a way to hit the scoreboard more . 7 goals on a fine afternoon is not going to win you any games. There will certainly be a bit of spice in this weeks encounter given Pickerings links with East Perth as well as a few Swans players originating from there as well.

Will be a tough game and if we get the 4 points they will be hard earned.

It will be interesting to see if we go in with a similar sized side to last week or we go with another midfielder to the mix against EP?
Unfortunately our forwards didnt have the greatest day last week but to be fair the delivery to them from up the field wasnt exactly pristine either.

BH, I know Tony Notte has been terrific for you at CHB but if your looking to be more attacking would he not be better at CHF? He's just about the best contested mark in the comp.

Has been tried with success in the past SS but maybe Tony prefers to play at CHB and or the coaching staff want to keep a stable back line group together?
There is always that option though.

Apart from Alex Howard, I dont think there is a lot of experience in the back line, which would be why Notte is down that end of the ground. It will be good having Ellard back in the team as he would have been handy for Swasn last week.

There must be many punters betting on a Swan Districts win. I notice Swans are paying $1.17 in this match.

For the second week in a row.A strong cross breeze accross the ground has affected the delivery forward. Thought we had a good chance at 3\4 time. With that strong breeze into the left fwd pocket. That no4 for EP little rover ran riot in the last qtr.

The highlight of this game was the umpiring was of a high standard.
The games was so insipid that two teams on a perfect day for football could only muster 14 goals between them..
The whole game coordination or lack thereof can be summed up in 7 minutes of play in the last qtr with the game was up for grabs at 48 a piece and our best player spent 7 mins on the sidelines waiting to go back on.
Swans have nothing and based on the first two weeks I wouldn't even pencil in a win against EF.
While it is too early to sack the coach when it eventually happens the whole football dept and the Directors in charge of it should go as well and give the new people time to plan for next year.

Swans would be spewing with themselves shock loss - I'd be getting Jordan Bill in for some spark & Daniels for a heap of grunt
Again a shock loss

Swans have some real structure problems.Cant play Gault in the ruck, even if it's for 5 to 8 minutes to give Blackley a break on the bench.Have to have 2 marking targets up fwd.How many times did we bomb the footy to centre half fwd.Only to have thoes 2 African EP big men break up the attack.
Notte+Gault fwd or backup ruck fwd or off bench. Defence has held well first two weeks.Midfield+forwards a real problem.
