My understanding is that you study for an undergrad degree which takes 6 years. On graduation you become an intern for 12 months and rotate through most of the specialist fields including emergency and surgery before becoming a Resident which can last from one right up to several years. Following that you become a Registrar after being accepted into a specialist area. I'm not sure where Blakely is at but if he's just graduated then it's more than likely he'll be doing his 12 months as an intern.

Yep sounds like u are on the money BC....all I remember is my nephew saying he preferred life as an intern before becoming a house surgeon / officer.. because he worked less weekends.. .though he trained in the UK.. anyway good to see Blakeley back

Didn't realise Peel were down to 19 players at half time and had no rotations in the last....sounds like they did well to keep the match close.. ..thank fark for their superior fitness then....who did they lose?....

It is my understanding that Blakely injured his knee in the first bounce of the 2016 season. For the 2017 season he was not available to play for Swans due to his commitments as a doctor.

I recall saying the moment Doc went down in 2016 that our season was done for. His ability to compete in the ruck and swing momentum to our advantage can not be understated. Rate him highly

WTF....I was just talking about my understanding of becoming a doctor...if Blakely is back after serious injury and study commitments to play good footy for you lot then good on him and good for the club plus the rock ape supporters at Bogandean.

I watched young Reidy on Saturday. To do what he did in the last quarter showed poise. He has the talent along with size and is good kick. Draft candidate even at this early stage
