I have been out of the country for the last month so have lost track of the footy news somewhat, so apologies if this is going over old ground. I noticed that Ryan Davis was delisted by the Suns in early September. Does anyone know whether the club has made any approach to him to return as a player in 2018? He would be a very handy addition. I know he was originally from Sydney so he may have decided to stay on the East Coast.

Hopefully the prospect of playing 150 league games with Swan Districts next year will be enough to bring him back to the club.He's played 135, so even with a 18 game season he would still get the milestone next year. The prospect of having Davis, Yarran and Pearce back in the team will be something to look forward to in 2018.

playing for Southport.

No surprise Ryan has opted to stay in Qld and play for Southport, they are a very wealthy club on the back of pockies so he would be getting some decent money, better than he could get in WA and a better lifestyle than at Bombo valley.

Far out, just had a look at the Southport website, their facilities are AFL standard, been in the comp 50 years for 13 flags, better than 1 every 4 years, last one back in '08, wonder if that coincided with the establishment of the neafl and the inclusion of Brisbane, GCS, Sydney and GWS reserves teams.

I guess when Swandog was referring to "$alary cheats" he meant Southport then...

Time to start working on Blaine Boekhorst who was delisted by Carlton 2 days ago.

Will probably have to wait till December as Blaine is hopeful of being picked up by another club as a mature age player. No harm in making some initial contact though. Dennis Armfield will be playing and coaching in Melbourne in 2018.
