I thought that the coaches report had some interesting observations in it so I have copied it below

Horrid day all round with all three grades losing in sub par performances!
The colts were in it at 3 quarter time but a physically bigger and stronger Falcons unit broke the game open in the last and stormed away to an 8 goal victory. Mitch Bain was outstanding all day and finished with 26 touches and Oscar Matthews was a dominant force around the ground with his ruckwork and general play. William Reidy bounced back to good form down back and Joel Curtis showed a heap of potential in his second game of colts footy.
The less said about our performance in the reserves the better after we were demolished by 12 goals. Jacob Coniglio was in our best couple along with Josh Power who tried very hard at half back. Mitch Mckenzie played well at full back and Ridley, Maguire and Mckay battled away, but it was all to no avail in a disappointing loss. Logan Hughes and Brayden Hackett could hold their heads up as solid contributors.
At senior level it felt like we were in full sabotage mode for much of the game. Our inability to control the footy and make strong decisions hurt us all day with no less than 6 direct clangers by hand and foot that handed West Perth easy goals.
The Falcons played well and deserved to be further in front at half time after missing several easy shots, so it was good to see our lads lift at the main break and seize control. Just when it looked like we had the game in our grasp, we handed the game back with horrible defence and poor skill level and the 8 point loss stung us badly.
It was a great opportunity to keep pushing on in our season and with South Fremantle losing, 2nd and 3rd are only a game in front of us. However the ladder is tightening with CFC and EP winning and every opportunity to gain 4 points must be taken. Our next two games are against the latter teams I mentioned, so our ability to bounce back off this loss is crucial!

Key messages here were the bake he gave the reserves team who continue their Jekyll and Hyde form with a shocker on sunday and the 6 clangers which cost us in the league game.

Looks like the colts had 4-5 doubling up from PSA the day before.Explains the fade out somewhat.

The League is a different story!Time to bring in Yarran and play him up forward!!!

Gotta disagree with you on this one Danger. Chris is still kicking without any penetration whatsoever...40 metres out on Saturday the ball barely made it to the goal square.

Hmm I'm a bit torn on this one. Even if he stays close to goal and gets about 8 possessions. If he kicks 3 or 4 goals with those possessions, he would be worth a punt, sort of like Ellis who is also an elite kicker. I have not seen any ressies games when he has been playing so you would have more of an idea DW
