I have unfortunately had to leave out so many gun players from both eras who deserved to be named as well.

Even though they commenced their careers before 1980 - if blokes like Stan Nowotny , Keith Narkle , Bill Skwirowski , Ronny Boucher , Glenn O'Rourke , Jon Fogarty and later Leon Baker weren't the bricks of SD , they were the mortar in between
Don Holmes , Langsford , Phil Narkle , Mike Richardson , Craig Holden , Gazza Sidebottom , Rance too

Is Alex Rance not local BH...to me he is the best player to come out of SD in the past 20 years

Yeah he is mate I just forgot to add him ...now fixed ...even from his 1 League game in 2007 DW I knew he was going to be a very competitive footy beast!

Right up there AR. I have never seen a ruckman palm the ball so consistently well to his mids (and or himself) that they do not have to break stride in winning clean clearances in space.

Some more rippers there gtr. Loved watching the lawnmower Micky Grasso who virtually took over from another old fav Peter Ware dashing out of the back pocket & the smooth moving Retzy with his immaculate foot passing back in the late 80s early 90s.
