I agree Guido, Bennell would be a welcome addition back as would any Swans boy that gets delisted or retire from the AFL.
Hopefully we are also trying to entice some of those boys who didnt play at the club this year like Nelson, Ridley, Taylor back to Basso as well.
When you have a season like we just endured we need all the help going forward we can get so hopefully getting Ellenbrook back in our zone is also on the cards as well as getting some experienced players to the club.
Ellard is one guy I believe has signed up for next year lets hope there are a few more in the next few months to compliment our young talent already there.
Welcome aboard to Ozfooty too Guido hopefully we see a few more Swans fans on here now as well!

Yes welcome Guido 75, great to have another Swans fan on board. I agree re Jamie Bennell and we should know about Clancee Pearce shortly, maybe as soon as this week if Peel are knocked out today. Our recruiting team may also be looking at other WAFL players who may not be getting opportunities with their current clubs because of their strength. Bogensperger from Subiaco is one that comes to mind but I'm sure there are others. As BH says would really like them to try and get guys like Ridley and Nelson back as well as these guys are talented footballers who came up through the colts system.

Bennell has been in advanced talks with Claremont so very little chance of him coming to Swans.

The problem swans face is not only room in their salary cap but convincing players to sign on to a club that's just earned the wooden spoon. Returning players know that they've only got a few years left so they want immediate success and that not on the cards for swans anytime in the near future.

Based on Bennell's season at east Perth any club that is dumb enough to pay a transfer fee for him would see swans take it gladly.
Swans are the only team he would get a regular game for this year.
Use the transfer fee and get someone like Stephen Payne out of East Perth or another mid fielder from somewhere

Dusty could you please explain "room in their salary cap" comment? Given the number of young local players playing for us I would have thought that ould not be an issue.

So he's not going to Swans so he is a rubbish player, aren't we allowed to recruit big name players given our past record of promoting our home grown talent.

I don't think he is a rubbish player, he didn't have a great season in 2016 but he has played well at WAFL level in past years. I would be disappointed if he didn't come to Swans next year but if he can get a better deal elsewhere good luck to him.

Apart from a change of coach who would be on your recruiting wishlist for Swans MO?
