TOSG I am uncertain how the official figures could be my fault. I do not collate nor publish the figures. Hoepfully, someone can post Percy J's interview from this morning and you might care to listen to his comments re the Showground's attendance figure. Then you might like to indicate whether you had assumed that I had meant that the figure was understated or overstated.

42 why is it despite all the talk on here of the "massive amount of $ubi supporters out there" that WAFL crowds are down 20% off last years dwindling low base even tho their side is equal top of the ladder going for their 3rd flag in a row, 24th finals finals series in the last 30 years, 15th GF & 9th flag in that same time period?
Doesn't make any sense to me if in fact they do have this supposed massive support out there!!

Because Swans supporters have all jumped off the bandwagon and don't show up to games. Our attendances have stayed fairly consistent, yours have dropped as rapidly as your teams form.

TOGS in fairness $ubi are on top of the world.Red hot favourites for 3 in a row.24 final gigs in the last 30 years.And even more successfull off the field.$ubi should be pulling the biggest crowds.
Swans are rock bottom of the WAFL Ladder.When they have a bad loss you think the improvment must start next week.Then they put in an even worse performance the following week.Terrible for the Swans supporters and for Wafl attendances.
Next year lets have EP,WP,SF,SD and Perth in the top 5.That will bring the fans back and im sure Subi can go a year without finals.

Like Percy Johnson said this morning and anyone with half a brain out there knows, the teams with the biggest supporter base are SD, EP and Perth. And the WAFL needs these teams up there or else crowds will continue to fall away. He has grave concerns. Now are our pea brained friends going to question a WAFL legend and hall of famer who has seen it all come and go over 7 decades more than ANYONE on this chat site???
