This could get a bit messy. A team on the top of the ladder and the top of its game against a team low on confidence and with problems in executing basic skills. The scoreboard could look a bit ugly by 4.45PM. As Swans supporters we need to keep looking at the long term positives of the situation, young guys like Logue, Clarke and Sutton coming in and immediately making an impression.

Selection will be interesting this week. If Riddoch doesn't come in, I will start wondering if he will ever get picked. Jukes should also get a start based on his performance in the ressies. Is it time to unleash Dylan Smith, given the way the other new boys have slotted in?

It won't be messy mate - generally Swans are a 5 goal better side up at Basso & always play well against South
Rudy should play this week & he's due , Simpson gives us grief and I'd slip him up forward to throw a few cats in it all
Tipping a close affair given we've had 2 or 3 tough games on the trot

Agree Southerner always tough to win at Basso against the ducks this match will be a lot closer than a few of the SD posters are predicting. If we turn up in the right frame of mind and play at our best the result will take care of itself. Wet weather predicted on the weekend also so should make for a hard physical contest.

Would expect competitive games in the colts and ressies. The League another game against a good opponent more than likely in wet conditions .Swans havnt played well in thoes conditions this year apart from the Claremont win..Another game for the young players and one game closer till key position players are back from injury.12 goals would be good at least 3 a quater.

Which key position players were missing from the EP match for SD gtrxuone?.....Ames, Notte, Simpson, Cary and Howard all played....who are SD sadly missing KP wise?.....has Jetta been more than a handy replacement for Broad.....Davis would most probably be the fella SD have missed the most.......must be frustrating watching Davis talent being wasted by Eade at GC.....though could mean an early return to SD next year......blessing in disguise perhaps.......

GTR may well have been talking about Blakely, Nuich, Blight and or the fact Simpson & Ames didnt reappear after half time Freeze. I thought a pretty sharp individual like your good self would have been all over it as you do spend most of your time on the Swans threads although you must only read the "banter" from Barry & Outer!

Jetta is handy Freez but can't play as tall as Broad who was nothing short of brilliant in the first half of 2015 and kept us in some games of footy. Him and Davis are both sorely missed because they ran and attacked hard once they got the footy. Aside from Riggio we are left with a slow midfield that prefers the easy option to lay the ball off sideways rather than gut run. Broady made up for some of the run we lacked in midfield last season because his first option was always to burst from defense. Its not like the zones and press in WAFL footy are anywhere near as tight as the AFL so why players don't run, stun and play on at all cost at this level has always confused me.

Being that it is forecast to be wet maybe you're in with a chance of free beer Southy. However on our current form your team will probably only need to kick 14 - 15 goals to win by 10 so I wouldn't exactly be packing the stubbie holder just yet :P
