I'm not sure who creates the fixtures these days but I wouldn't have thought a 16 day break after round 4 would be ideal in terms of maintaining momentum and keeping the players up. It will give an opportunity for a couple of the injured guys like Hancock, Wheeler, Bradley, Cockie, Joyce an opportunity to recover fully but for mine...2 and half weeks without a game is far too long at this early stage of the season.

Does any other club have a 2 week or longer break in 2018?

as I'm sure you know your mob has a 21 day break between rounds 6 and 8 which is not ideal either.

What is worse a 16 or 21 day break or what was served up to us by the WAFC a few years back when they fixtured us to play Peel at Peel on a Sunday (not even on the Saturday that weekend) and then have to front up against WP at Joondalup for the now traditional Anzac Day game midweek 3 or 4 days later?!
Mind boggling fixturing to say the least!

I would have thought some high altitude training in Colorado or similar more beneficial. I'll give Peter Capes a call and see what I can do. B)

EF don't get their first bye till round 12.....though there is the state round break before that....but hey every club has one.....bit tough apparently to ask semi professionals not to get a break for 3 months....whilst others get multilple weeks break....pretty sure Subi with their superior fitness levels should be the side to play 3 months on the trot
