There was NO double team on Ryan - K Manning had him wiped from the park 'on his own' - kept him to 9 disposals and the two goals which he kicked was when Manning was 'off the ground'.

Sadly the remaining WP back men didn't push hard enough and allowed fractures to appear where SOKOL punched through. Good game by SOKOL, a footy black eye given to Ryan.

And that is my point.

With 3 slippery customers up forward, it's a hard match up...one of the three will break free.....might be Sokol today...just as easy Nelson or Ryan tomorrow

It was a pretty good game, in the last qtr both sides were knackered due to the heat and were in slow motion. Sokol in the 3rd had a purple patch and from a WP perspective but absolute lay down maser's there were 2 x monumental **** ups by the maggots. One was Kietel was blatantly held trying to get up to gather the ball about 15m out directly in front of the maggot, there was only him and a $ubi defender with his jumper out stretched and the kick was not given. In the 3rd a WP defender was running out of defence and was bumped by a $ubi player, the ball was dislodged and the maggot gave it holding the ball which was one of Sokol's goals.

That effectively was the difference between the two sides.

He did actually grab him for a split second if you were watching closely Leedy. Maggots will be maggots, we know that better than most...

I only listened to the last three quarters, but it seemed west perth were gifted a couple and some soft fifties. Some disbelief of a short pass to keitel in the last that could have proved critical. Subi once again behind the 8 ball with frees in all grades. I'm still reeling from the grand final tbh, 1 free in 3/4 of footy. Enough to make me stop going
