For starters Yazz won't be playing for Peel, I can't see an Eastern state side picking up Ryan, didn't he get home sick playing for EF four hours away from his home town.

Not in his time at Subi, maybe a few years ago when he was a 16 or 17yo.

At a Subi president luncheon I sat next to a couple of blokes who know Liam very well, they commented that he's a quiet but very level headed young bloke who knows what he wants and where he wants to get to and thats AFL. Very easy to coach kid who takes instruction well.

He has all the tricks in his pack to make it as a good small forward in the Eddie Betts style but needs to build up his endurance and physique, so expect if he is drafted, to spend a big chunk of his 1st season in the wafl/sanfl/vfl/neafl.

Apparently there's plenty of interest in him, with the Pies particularly interested along with the 2 WA clubs, expect he would be a good 2nd or 3rd round pick up but who knows with the draft.

Certainly not an age issue. Perhaps his lack of fitness is a concern but that can be improved, so was surprising he didn't get selected. Agree that surely a spot on a rookie list beckons.

With all due respect maybe there were some better options.
As shown late in the draft.

Right on the money DF Liam was always only going to be a rookie selection at best. Some of the calls here of a 2nd or 3rd round certainty were fanciful to say the least tho not surprising!

Grassy I never said the kid didnt have a good year and he has a fine leap and he will more than likely be rookie listed probably to a QLD based club. But to suggest he was a certainty to go 2nd or 3rd round in the draft as a poster in this topic has was to say the least to borrow the 12th man's Bill Lawry impersonation lacking in logic especially if you keep abreast of the State 18s, TAC, Colts etc football across the country!
