Unfortunatley not a huge amount of hype going into this one.

EF, are struggling and SF coming of an embarrassing loss at home v lowly tigers.

Nevertheless I'm looking forward to going along for the traditional foundation day derby, looking at a massive re charge from south after last week and to hand some punishment out to old easts, but expect the un expected in these clashes...

if they get 5000 it will be more than I expect.

Yep good day out..
Not exactly the most exciting of contests, repeated one sided derbies not the best thing for the comp.
Surprised to see us lose both Reserves and Colts.
No surprise with the crowd, about 2000 or so, well done to the 100 or so stalwarts up on the hill at the prison end bar, weird leaden skies that turned to a fine misty rain towards the end.

Those lads that came in & the other senior players who stepped up to cover for the absent ones deserve all the credit here - it really was a very good team performance when it counted most , that was the huge tick I gave it anyway considering the nature of the win.

Although the derby had the highest attendance of the four games which is great, I still find it disappointing.
I'd have thought at least four to five thousand would have gone to the ground. After all, there was only two matches on the day.

No way on a day like that and given the lead in form of the two teams.

EF aren't simply in SF class at the moment to provide a decent contest worth 5000 punters.... haven't been for a while....saying that perhaps majority of that 5000 crowd left after EF won the reserves and colts.....really surprised EF won the reserves....they are rubbish TBH....considering EF reserves ruck is Mackenzie Bristow who stands at 191/2 cm....SF reserves really must of had an off day losing that game....

Exactly. i no longer go due to the crap performance of EF...stupidly, I went to the previous derby at ef this year with a couple of neighbors of mine. We know what happened there.
This time one of them was asking me if i want to go with him again. Yeah right.I was not keen and in the end he agreed probably not a good idea.

At 4.30pm he came and gave me a beer as a thank you for saving him from wasting his life!!
