I remember watching Fred play, really honest hard working ruckman who, as you said held his own against the more fancied rucks of the day.

Never any bad word said around the club - very highly regarded team mate through his 219 league matches for South Fremantle

I bought a car from Fred Seinor junior at Auto Classic a few years ago. I saw the name badge and asked if he was any relation....I didn't have to say who it was I was talking about as obviously the young bloke copped it all the time. My memories of Fred was he was a very good player and gave it everything he had for his club and team mates.

Anchor, my memories of Fred are fleeting, although I don't remember him as being particularly tall.

What height was he?

Yep he gave it all but is still not as recognised as he should be from the football public of that era.

sorry a/man...no offence although I do think the terms legend and champion of the game are thrown around a bit too easily these days. I think Fred was a very good WAFL player, I think Fitzpatrick and Bill Dempsey likewise although Fitzy went on to bigger and better things...but as a WAFL player in the early days I thought he was very good..so no downside as far as I'm concerned. Subi has probably had only one or two in the last 15 years that I would consider better than very good (Ali Pickett and Horsley) during a period of sustained success....so I guess the label is what you make of it.
