We will win our fair share of ball it will come down to how well we can use it and how efficient we are when go inside our forward 50.
Stats from the round 2 clash suggest that 52 inside 50s for a score of 8. 16 is not the return that you would expect.
Winning the midfield contest will be where this game is won and lost.

Out of our forwards in that round 2 clash between Deollio , Shaw and Saunders they kicked a grand total of one goal? Swans best players consisted of Blight , Howard and I would guess Ames would have had a reasonable game. Need to get a bigger contribution from these guys.

Your boys did very well to fight their way back after the hole they were in half way through the 2nd quarter. Really gutsy stuff by the Doggies. Too classy for us in the end.

Houdini act today by the boys, I had them dead n the water part way thru the 2nd quarter.
Great to see that we are able to go through the gears when we we need to but scoreboard pressure in finals will kill you if you do that against Freos reserves and Subi.
It does concern me that we continue to back in our structure and style. To allow Notte to play as the plus one in our forward line was baffling as in the first half particularly our plus one at the other end had no impact on the game.
Good to get the four points but golly gee we have got improve our consistency over 4 quarters.
