Membership renewals well down as was sponsorship, I think this is directly connected to the Alignment.

On a positive Gate and Attendance was well up on last year.

The shared ground deal is now at a stand still due to wankers next door and their greedy blue with FCC.

Mate in all honesty there's probably more than one factor - definitely the AFL re-intrusion has affected us & the downturn in the economy didn't help

Yep for sure Southerner, the states in a economic down turn and money is drying up across the board, so sponsors and members are cutting back. I think membership has been more directly impacted by the alignment they don't feel motivated to re join.

Looks like it will end up in the courts doesn't it? - there must be a nightmare of contract paperwork involved in it
Given the size of their funded new premises over in the old Horse paddocks & the sheer amount of taxpayer $$$ they shell I am wondering why they are using the Fremantle Oval building to fark everyone over

Was talking to a local Freo lawyer a few weeks back who is contact with the Town Clerk , he has advised FCC to take the purple peanuts on in the courts , they have a strong case. Its just mind boggling the approach that mob are taking to damage everyone concerned as much as possible, but that's corporate greed for you.

It's fark all in the business world , it's almost like they're holding the redevelopment up , their building isn't worth much

There's a signed Lease in place too & this is central to it all nuts & fannies no doubt

But in the very end , you would certainly be entitled to think that AFL mob would be looking to have a good image in a town they're unfortunately named after & moved very rapidly out of

The building will be worthless once they leave, and that's reflected in the fact that it will be demolished as part of the new development. They are holding it all up to grab $4 million, after the council gifted them the land for free to start of.

Really disappointing attitude by Fremantle here. Not only does it delay the redevelopment for footy and business, it also puts pressure on both SFFC and EFFC financial stability. Given that FCC seem to have a very strong case any money FFC are spending on legal advice will just end up reducing their profit and as such the dividened received by the WAFC which helps fund footy in WA.

Oh this is purely about the big & little agreements and leases set up to assist with the creation in 1994/1995

With reasonable or even the merest of respect to them , the FCC had every right representing their funding ratepayers to have a long lease in place considering the $$$ being provided and all the oval stuff covered etc etc etc

The AFL mob have had several different boards during this time , this one has been the most , I guess , Hostile.

Freo Oval might have become a colleseum type thing according to one design for the AFL mob , very similar to the MCG except it's in the heart of a City
