Freezin I think your team would be wise to let him grow into his body before banging around with the the likes of Sandilands, Gawn, Goldstein and the big Mummy. On the contrary the big unit Freo picked up looks ready to go but I wouldn't be exposing him either. His name is Sean Darcy.

Similar to Shane Mumford? Ha, I read that Matt Guelfi was similar to Sam Mitchell - and nobody drafted him. Also read about blokes that were similar to Chris Judd, Luke Hodge, Scott Pendlebury... They all seem to be champions before they've been drafted

Nothing unusual about drawing comparisons with current day or past players Tigger. We all talk about players like that with our mates at the footy don't we? It doesn't mean someone is saying they are the next ..........??

Considering WBD tall stocks English will definitely be in the frame for round 1 in 2017....at present WBD are rucking with their FB and FF....so be nice to have a genuine tap ruckman in the starting 22....

surprised Freo went for Darcy over Goddard or Strnadica TBH....no doubts tears will flow from the fans when the kid gets homesick and wants to go home....pretty sure Jack Hannath was ready made for AFL footy when Freo drafted him too Anchor....

Anchor...time will tell I guess, but Beveridge is a coach who is not afraid showing some faith in his youngsters and playing them..... English will bulk up over the preseason, like Darcy will lose weight over his preseason I guess.....yeah he won't dominate but I reckon his mobility for his size will see him blooded way before you think he will be...WBD play a mobile game....English fits that perfectly....not too sure what Darcy offers Freo....he will spend the first two years of his career, losing that weight and building a competitive engine...that's if he even does...tap ruckman are obsolete in todays game any how.....ruckman are required to play as ruck rovers these days....

GWS like no other AFL club going around, have had a queue of similar aged youngsters from outer state competing for spots....they recruited like that to cover all their bases, knowing some will leave and some will stay.....so don't know what your point is with your GWS comment?

Agree with Freez on this one not sure why Freo would choose Darby over local lad English
