Don't forget Lawler ex Swans Colts player!

Only Ugle, Bootsma, O'Brien and Bell were not on Freo's list.
I stand to be corrected but didn't Appness come in?

DF,Brayden Lawler (Carey Park) was the other "local" listed player.
As BH pointed out he was an ex-Swans colts player.

That is the nasty thing about it - this contest wasn't actually between the clubs there was almost a total third entity that's just been roped in , a fully registered professional one

Absurd in this modern time of so-called fair equality & correctness that such a competition could be run like this and expect renewed interest from the masses

Can't have this shit at the pointy end of Finals footy

aside from the alignment fiasco..I thought your midfield were really found wanting. Hams had a quiet day and don't think Schloithe fired a shot. Hockey was very good and is a quality player but he didn't have much help around the stoppages. Losing Saunders didn't help either but thought you actually lost it through the middle.

Shit yes I have no defence our lads were shadowed but it wasn't just the midfield that was under siege , it was almost a carbon copy of what happened to West Perth the week before , pinpointed the prime-movers and strangled the hell out of them
Also a big cog was the cleanness , composure & cohesion the AFL quota displayed it's another level brought onto the game

ok...you're in a pretty good position to make a GF prediction Southerner after seeing Subi last week and FART yesterday...what are your thoughts?

I think that Souths lack of midfield presence was due to the absolute dominance of the Freo rucks. Souths have a pretty reasonable ruck situation, Higgins is a great player so their mids would have had some reasonable service throughout the season. Subi on the other hand have not had a pure ruckman for 2 seasons, so our mids are totally accustomed to roving to the dominant opposition rucks and do it very well, while our two pinch hitters in Wheeler and Dela at least make a contest at stoppages but are super mobile around the ground which is where we might find the Freo bigs out.

Subiaco are a well balanced side that knows each others strengths , they've got players who can step up to another level at crucial times in games plus an abundance of experience
Mandurah/Fremantle AFL - well since the elimination final the final part of that nameplate pretty much sums up what Subiaco finally end up facing this week , an entirely different proposition , bugger all local stuff to promote is there

Might be a blow out either way - both sides have the capacity to do that , just don't really have my heart in it to tip anything BC
