It feels like we have not played football for an eternity bye , EF , bye , Peel. One game in four weeks hardly good preparation going into a very important fixture against Peelmantle.
Could be a few changes this week and possibly one or two first gamers so we will need a bigger contribution from our team than what we got dished up V EF. Intriguing game and very important to get back on the winning list to keep the distance between the pursuing 3rd , 4th and 5th teams.

Just been looking at the Wafl website and Souths have this game in the bag :)
At the 26 minute mark of Q4, the Bulldogs have a 23 point lead.
Pity Perth were unable to complete the quinella yesterday.

You blokes are just lucky FART didn't want to reschedule the game when it started raining. Imagine the Freo boys getting their hair wet or playing in a bit of mud.

I thought todays effort was sensational , lack of manpower, wet conditions, a host of dorkers down at the dung heap and we crush them in the second half, big fellas delivered and Saunders and Kelly great again.

Gutsy effort by the lads.....

Hams gone at quarter time , McIntosh gone early in the third and lads dug deep to graft a terrific win.

Looks like a calf for Hams and McIntosh dislocation / fracture of his ankle. Higgins was sensational mind you he rucked against a 19 year old today in young Wight so should have been the dominant big man. Our mids particularly after half time rolled up the sleeves and got dirty. Great to see Hockey , Kelly , Verrier lead from the front. Martinez was terrific in his first league game for a while let's hope he can find some consistency as we will need him in the next few weeks with Hams injury. Well done to first gamer young 19 year old Brandon Donaldson did some good some things and certainly did not look out of place at league level, another exciting local product.

Good win to the Doggies, especially with some of their key players injured. They are certainly the real deal this year and will be a genuine contender come finals time. I am looking forward to a very much more competitive finals series this year with all the top 5 teams capable of beating the others on their day. The battle for top spot and a week off will be critical.

Fantastic team effort by the boys today after being down two rotations early in the third term. They all played their role. The injuries are starting to hit but there's a bit of depth in the two's that can step up in the likes of Pullman, B Verrier, Main, Branchi, Laurino, Florenca, Mirco, T Pickett and of course Blaine Johnson to come back in.

Glad to get that road trip out of the way. That Freeway South is a bloody joke with all those roadworks going on. Second road trip to Joondy next week which I don't mind as much as Crab City.

Watching with interest the severity of the penalty to be dealt out to the Peelmantle 5 charged with Melee charges from the weekend. Young Deluca very lucky to escape without being charged with making contact with an umpire in the 3rd quarter.
