If you ask Paul Vasoli and Kevin Caton, and I have, they both say Benny Vigona was the most skillfull of the lot and with a bit more application would have been the best of the lot. Vasoli described Vigona something along the lines of as the modern day Shaun Burgoyne only 10 x better.

My own opinion is Stephen Michael for toughness and leadership if I could choose only one, but enjoyed watching Maurice the most out of the South indigenous players. Willie Roe another that didn't get the best out of himself

But it would make a good opening topic for some one to start,The Best Aboriginal player in the WAFL.

Obviously Polly Farmer wins hands down then with the heading change, that is a unanimous opinion across the nation

TI by a bee's dick from M Rioli.

Would have loved to have seen TI have a go at VFL, probably would not have been a ruckman more a ruckrover & or CHF/CHB would have been a sensation.

Roo Matera once told me Maurice was the best by a bit in his eyes in comparison to other smalls. Did Rioli ever stare down Ron Boucher thou...TI for me as he's the bloke I'd select first if I was choosing my team in the playground.

Yeah Brad was a great player for SF as was brother Cliff as tough as old boot leather and Derek who later headed to EP.
A few more names for discussion- Jeff Farmer, Basil Campbell, Willie Roe, Michael Cockie, Willie Rioli, Cyril Rioli, Graham Kickett, Shane Tippa, The McGrath brothers, Marlon Pickett.

Some good ones amongst that lot BH. Interesting to see Tyson Pickett younger brother of Marlion being named on an extended bench this week.
