Not too many changes but Cody Ninyette named on extended bench.
This is a game that should be pencilled in.
So important we come to play and make sure of it.
3 nil would be a great start.
With another penciled one on Anzac Day.
Come to play Dees.

The ressies line up looks okay too, good to see Narrier and Roe named. Looks like there will be plenty of competition for a league game

This is probably the weakest Swans line-up in many years. Tony Notte is always a threat but hopefully they need him down back. These are the type of games we need to win well if we are the real deal or just pretenders. I see Corey Yeo is the last player named on the bench. I wonder if he is facing a fitness test?

Will be interesting to see how Matt Rogers goes. Given that he walked out of the club prior to the end of last season I would imagine he will be very motivated to show Pickering what he can do.
I am hoping that Swans can make a game of this. I may be disappointed.

Mikeh Rodgers has been good without being spectacular.
He brings a steely toughness to our forward line.
I reckon that Christian Cary has benefited from his presence.
He looks harder at it this year.

Far out.
Out of gaol again.
Good to win close ones.
Not sure we deserved it.

Hard to gauge from the 19th at Bunbury Golf Club but maybe we stole that one.

Stats don't show it but Swans dominated us in the air and they looked like they had more run and stun than us. We were lucky to have a narrow lead at 3qtr time tbh but when under real pressure and the game on the line the boys stood up and that's all you can ask. 3 and zip with the last two wins coming at Fremantle and Basso. Gotta be happy with that but will need to lift against the Royals who are competitive.

Michael Bennell probably took Mark of the Year in front of the Interchange gates if anyone caught it on camera in the 3rd qtr.

Well said gtr, it was poise that won it in the end. And that's a good sign for a team that would nearly always lose those ones. Blitzed early and then stank for the rest of the game as we slowed down and struggled to counter Swans hard running and getting numbers back into our forward line. Looked real tired by the end of that one. Swans killed us in the air. Why Notte plays in defence I'll never know but thank fk he did for three quarters. Clint Jones was enormous today. Always there out the back to get the release. Cody Leggett early was absolutely massive early to set up the early lead and Ninja fantastic as well and got some really important touches in the last quarter across half back when the game was on the line. Kudos to Swans, they play a hard runing brand of footy but just lacked the ability to finish inside 50 otherwise would have been a different result.
