How incredibly sad. It sounded like Brett was doing some great work up there in Broome for the indigenous communities. There is a need for so many more mental health resources in the community to be there for people when they are doing it tough. Particularly in regional areas. RIP and condolences to his family

What a great shame. Brett was a player with a big heart and had a breakout year before he suddenly retired to take up that employment opportunity up in Broome. The clubs website says he sought help but none was forthcoming. That's a strong statement. The club also mentioned they have a program called Outside the Locker Room they have integrated over the last couple of years. A great initiative. Condolences to Brett's friends and family and former team mates.
