Are you referring to the 1989-90 buy out / bail out of Indian Pacific who were the then owners of the Meth Addict FC , where roughly $1Milllion transferred the failed licence to the WAFL (the WAFC was started up due to this event) ????

A couple of things, PFC are safe until 2020.

Those who want a stand alone team be careful what you want, the financial cost will be worse than the alignment on all clubs finances. The two afl clubs would more than likely not put any funding into the WAFL so they can fund their own teams and the WAFC/WAFL would roll over and give in!

To have a stand alone team they would have to pay an annual licence fee in my opinion. The payments would either need to be the same or more than what they are paying now.
