Apart from your elim final which turned out to be a great game, 3 of the 4 minor grades finals were nail biters with EP colts getting up by a point, then Su by 2 points and SD by 5 pts in the ressies qual finals, great stuff.

Correct and not only that they should be top class players not average.

at the very least, you would hope that he would dominate in the reserves.

This is one of the faults with the point system. The system is good in theory but a bloke like Papertalk is destined tothe scrap heap simply because he was on an AFL list once. I wonder how many other players under this system have wanted to have another crack at WAFL but don't get the chance because they have a ludicrous number of points attached so no other club will touch them. I reckon this is where a draft might work. Players not needed by one club can be picked up by another club for, say, 1 point, regardless of games played, AFL experience, whatever.
