D's are playing with an enthusiasm that hasn't been seen in a long while. Most pleasing thing is young boys leading the way. Expect a good account of ourselves against Swans, wouldn't surprise me if we caused an upset.

Our last 4 meetings at Basso and its a average losing margin of 8 goals.
I dont think we have won at Basso in 9 years,we have had a draw in that time.

If we dont find a tall target to goals and more importantly one that can have an impact on the scoreboard we will struggle against the better teams and i believe Swans are one of the better teams.
The small guys in the forward line cant do it every week.

Big test looms this week and one where i reckon we will have to step it up a notch.

Guys after last weeks effort I can assure you that Swans can not afford to take anyone lightly. If Perth get the win on Saturday, I reckon they will have well and truly earnt it because the last thing that Swans would want to happen is to lose 2 consecutive home games

Can't see us getting close really, especially if he doesn't bring Murray straight back in.

No doubt we have to take it up a notch or two if we're to be competitive and to win we have to play hard, concentrated footy for 4 quarters. If we switch off for any length of time at all we'll get beaten. Last 15 mins of 2 quarter and first 15 of the third is where we've traditionally let ourselves down. If we're a chance at 3/4 time I'll look for us to run the game out. That will be an indication of our development.

I suspect that the intensity of both teams in the first quarter will go a long way to determining which team wins. I expect the Swans players to be very keen to erase the memories of their last game against Claremont.

For what it is worth Swans to sneak over the line on a very hard fought contest.

Yes it's tough one but I have a feeling that DEES will do well.

There are glimmers of an emergence and different feel around the Club.

The DEES are due for a win against SD/Basso, and I reckon we might surprise.

Maybe Paul Bevan can takie his place. :P :P :P

Yes, we miss Ross Young. How handy would he have been in the current team playing alongside Paul Bevan, Chance Bateman and Kyle Reimers?
Anyway, that is all hypothetical.
Bevan has stepped up into the captaincy and is certainly leading by example as are the other two.
This is our first big challenge for 2013. Swans are a very good side and if we are to aspire to finals footy we must start beating all the good sides that are ahead of us.
Despite the loss of Rossco we are, IMHO, overall a better side this year with much improved discipline and focus and we should expect nothing less than 100% effort each and every week.
The challenge is there... will we pick up the gauntlet?
