Looking forward to this game as it should be a real test to see where we are at as a team at this stage of the season. I expect a couple of changes to be made to the league team for structural reasons.

Key areas would be:

Keeping Tim Geappen and Tony Notte to under 5 goals combined.

Stopping the ability of players like Tom Roach, Shaun Hilderbrandt and co from racking up huge numbers in the midfield. The thing with Swans IMO is that it's hard to shut down one or two key ball winners because they have others that can step up and find the footy.

Whoever plays on Tallan Ames has to possibly play a defensive role and make sure he doesn't go near the footy. Make him accountable!

Can't wait till Saturday, allways a bit of banter at Swans :)

Good test for us.

See what what we need to do.

Ames would go to McInnes, so need Fraser to lift and at least be competitive.

Yes we will need David Johnston for his height.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Obviously David Johnson should be coming back into the team for height reasons down back. Murray should be an automatic inclusions as well. Who else could come back in. Stack? Jacobs?

Jacobs was in reasonable form in the ressies so may be in line.

Not sure who he would come in for at this stage, which is a bonus.

Stack didn't play ressies at all so he may be injured, again who would he come in for?

Not sure, but time will tell.

If Butler goes into the Eagles squad that makes one spot available. If Daniel Murray and David Johnson both come in then we might see Christian Eyres dropped to the twos. I hope this isn't the case as if he's not playing ruck could be used as a tall either up forward or down back. It's good to have selection dilemmas but it does your bloody head in haha :P

If Butler goes to Eagles, and I think he will, then we will likely get Ash Smith.
Murrray should come back if he is fit. He seemed to be limping after the ressies game last week.
Johnston, Jacobs and Stack will most likely be in the mix to come in. Not sure who will miss out. Perhaps Ransted and White along with Eyres.
So, IMO, the changes could well be Butler, Ransted, White and Eyres out. In will be Ash Smith, Murray(subject to fitness), Johnston and Jacobs.
It may not be too long before the Eagles insist that we play Colledge in the senior side. His form in the ressies has been very good. This kid can certainly play and his current form is much better than McInnes.
Tunbridge will sit out his final suspension game this week and he will have to be fitted into the side for the EF game - perhaps another matchup with Duffy.

Mr AFL, one way to shutdown the Swans' ballgetters is for our players to get to the ball first. If we have the "pill" the opposition don't.
Simple game really.

If you have the Pill the drug testers come around, but al least you don't get pregnant

Will the Dees do the modern thing and maybe rest a young player like Sinclair back in the Reserves, even though he has been sensational ? Just a question, not an opinion - it worked so well for the Aussie Cricket team

Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
