Frankston have been kicked out of the VFL. While this is sad, I hope the Football Department at Perth is making contact with a number of Dolphins players about the possibility of playing in the WAFL in 2017. There would be no clearance fee you would think for any player that moves.

Mate pretty sure Frankston have won about 3 or 4 games in the last 2 -3 years......gooduns like Hockey, Kitchen and Lourey are former Dolphins from memory.....not too sure what decent bones are left to pick for the vultures.....another mans misery is anothers gain it seems.....fark stick to actually developing some of those good colts boys of yours.....havent you guys got enough outsiders in Graham, Jones, Jacobs, Tropiano, McKenna, Etto, Cary, White, Latch, Wolfenden, Dennis already running around in your league side?

Yes they haven't won many over the last few seasons but I reckon there could be one maybe five players that would be worth a look at. Michael Sikora, Josh Bennett, James Wilsen, Ben Cavarra and the familiar Jackson Sketcher are five that I reckon could be handy.

I am hoping that we will continue to develop our players Freezin and there are opportunities for them to play league next season.

But for the club to improve again next season I reckon we need a second ruckman, key defender and if there's room left a key forward. We get those three positions filled and I'll be reasonably happy. Keep key player losses to as little as possible and the biggest thing for me is improving the skills by hand and foot of all the players.

Now now Grassy no need to spruik about the presence of AFL clubs in State League competitions. Let's keep it about hopefully the footy department at the PFC speaking to one or two of the Frankston players above.

With due respect, we need to spend money and points wisely.
Not just because a Club has gone down the gurgle.
Our points are not always spent wisely.

Yep,agree.

Our recruits imo have to be established players preferably around the 25/26 year old mark that can come straight into our system and play league and have an impact.

Yes agree that they need to spend points wisely. I was merely suggesting Frankston because now some of there players will be looking for a club. With the exception of Cavarra and Sketcher the rest were all talls. Sikora is a ruckman, Wilsen key defender and Bennett a key forward who I think this season spent more time in defence to fill a need for the Dolphins. Three positions that I believe should be our top three recruiting needs to be filled prior to 2017.

The three talls are all between 26-28 years old as well.

I agree that we have #3 very specific recruiting needs.
And I also agree with the premise that we must be very prudent in our targeting of those needs and to spend our cash and points wisely.
Let us not be wasteful as we have been in the past.
Get it right and we can be confident that something special is building.
