We get to lose a 12 point player (value at another Club).

Good equalisation strategy that one.

It is a very strange thing indeed that the Commission wrote into the alignment agreement a provision which would prevent both Peel and EP from getting too weak, whilst maintaining, at the same time, a free enterprise attitude towards the rest of the competition

The more I hear about these sorts of actions ( or inactions) that the WAFC have presided over strengthens my view that
1. The competition is now hopelessly compromised and therefore not really a competition at all any more.
2. The WAFC don't give a toss about the WAFL being a level playing field

What a complete and utter farce this is...you can expect even more old time WAFL fans to pull the pin on the comp now!
The WAFC is full of all ex EP and $ubi folk so those 2 will continue to be looked after at the expense of an interesting, even and competitive WAFL competition whilst one of the ex EP comms Duddington was responsible for the introduction of that Peel joke so he will also make sure they are also looked after for his moronic decision to bring them in in the first place!

Classic thread on EP site involving no EP supporters. I really don't think we need to worry too much about the club that used to be EP, a swinging carcass. And yeah Wellingham will be in the where are they now file by June.

At what age did Wellingham get drafted?....18?.....I guess being away from the Perth Footy club for so long has diluted any loyalty he would have for the club. Yes I know he has been back in Perth for a couple of seasons, but not with Perth, but EP when involved in the WAFL.

Can the WAFC enforce a player to go back to his club of origin? Is there anyone at PFC that Wellingham played with in his early days? Totally agree this affair doesn't look good on the integrity/equality of the comp, but not too sure what the WAFC folk can do about it, except give Perth further extra list points and some salary cap leeway.

Alignment or not the rules the other clubs agreed to allow for the recruitment.
