After securing a top 5 spot the boys came out against Subiaco and by half time the game was all but over. The football on display was at times brilliant with a little bit of hollywood in between that will need to be curtailed if they want to go all the way! Nathan Arbon was dominating all around the ground with great support from the usual suspects, Young, Starcevich,Miller et al.

Great effort by all involved, we proved that we can make the GF from anywhere last year and I reckon we can get there again and talk all the choccies.

The big prize for SD colts winning yesterday was not playing EP in an elimination. EP are in as good a form as any colts team late in the year...a real danger for EF ambitions to win the colts flag. SD will have to play outta their skins to impact the finals. I'm predicting EF v EP final if EP can get over Peel

What do Peel do with Naughton in the finals? He would have a huge impact at Colts level.

Overheard the Peel Coach say his team were in big trouble after their loss to Perth,but as you know,Finals are a different beast.

Finals are such a cutthroat process and any team can do the job on their day, I think we have a good spread of talent to cover most if not all of Peels obvious strenghts

He is a force to be reckon on and with but it is our overall strength that we will have to rely on against the whole Peel team!

The wind was more to the other end. It was a southwester. It always seems they kick more to one side at Freo ( the dockers club rooms end) Not that the wind was stiff though.

Was a great effort , breeze was a non event it was silly really all but two goals scored at Hospital end.

They played well throughout three quarters but we hung in there and came the last we were kicking to the Hosp end and I honestly though were in with chance, Starcevich was simply brilliant in the last, he imposed i=himself on the game which brought Ameduri into the game. Others stepped up and Pickers moved Stack into the forward line and he awoke and did some really good things!

I think that they thought they had done enough but we gave ourselves a chance!

I try to be fair about umpiring but it was at times atrocious and a little biased but in the last quarter they decided to let the boys play and it was better. There is a report for a front on bump that was just silly, one adviser said it was rubbish so we will have see what the fallout is!

Well done to your colts boys Grump a 1 point win is much more satisfying than a 10 goal win, if a bit more stressful. Bit similar in the ressies where CL came storming back in the last 5 mins but just fell short, 2 great games before the league farce
