Sadly, I think Royal1 is correct. Hopefully the redevelopment at Claremont will set the club up financially, but it is a real struggle for $$. The next 3 to 5 years will force the hand of a few WAFL clubs. In many ways it's like the WACA trying to go it alone, lost the test match, lost $$$.

From what I am hearing Perth and Swans will be the first to merge, your respective clubs can deny this all they like but wait and see. Next on the radar will be the Freo sides.

Have to agree with you Royal1 the financial situations of clubs is far worse than people think. There is too much bitterness between the clubs stretching back over a hundred years to work together to solve it. Time for some collective thinking and that may take some change of management at certain clubs.

Since when have friends been a measure of a sporting team, but then I suppose others see this as a social measure. Personally I have never worried or judged my friends by the teams they support. Amongst them are swans supporters, EF, Dorkers and even a Collingwood one.

You just worry about your social status and your circle of friends but always make sure your not the one shouting close the circle!

Can't argue with you there r1. I don't think anyone really believes our comp will be the same in years to come. It's just what the seemingly incompetent commission does to it...not a good thought if you measure it against their latest decisions.

Forget about the alignment and all the other sh!te...........the comp died the day the Eagles and Dockers entered the AFL and the WAFC allowed Peel in.
