The blue and whites have had a good first-half, let us hope it continues as it would be a good win for the club.

Certainly a better first half than last week and more promising, the number of AFL listed players and their fitness levels will be a concern in the second half. Interesting to see how it plays out.

We are one man down after Bailey was taken from the field on a stretcher in the 2nd Qrt.

East Freo with their squad and change of coach should win 5 to 6 games, no reason this wouldn't be one of them.

Might help them even more if their old coach Rob Wiley popped up as a coach of another WAFL club - his losing ratio was impeccable.

Unlucky Old Easts. Would have been a very good win down there. Look on the bright side. Should bring Rookie Draft out of his shell surely? Lol

That Bell bloke who bagged 5 goals always looks the goods when I've seen him. How is he not on an AFL list. Anyone know his age? Maybe RD can help us out if he's got time.

Good to hear Boekhorst got through the game unscathed....Bailey can't take a trick on the injury front....Hope he is ok....increasing the goal tally by 4 goals each week....3 v Cl, 7 v Subi and 11 v Peel....expect 15 in the derby then next week. Good win by the reserves too....

Boekhurst played very well today. Cam Eardley was probably our best along with Jayden Schofield who played a different role than usual. Kody Manning and Jared Jansen also were excellent. Milan Murdoch playing in his 2nd league game was lively. Tom Bennett played his best game since his return. Morgan Davies moved to the back line and thrived and Tom Monaghan made a bright league debut. Alex Bray was also among our best today as too was Matthew Jupp. Unfortunately Lachlan Bailey knocked heads with a peel player and was taken from the field on a stretcher. Ambrose Ryan also suffered an injury and was unable to finish the game leaving us 2 men down.

Ressies won easily with Dion Anthony doing his chances of a return to league side for the derby next Saturday no harm. The same could be said for Zac Jackson and Nic Watson. Michael Tassone is pushing for his first league appearance with the club too.

Agree with T Em
What a close match and just WOW on the improvement and guts shown today -

But, what a shame that reading the media we find again that if your an AFL child you will be blessed with accolades and written word niceties and then amongst that, hidden away, almost like a crumb to a pigeon, opposition WAFL sides receive a mention.
I have to say that the West writer 'Mitchell Woodcock' lacks the literary effort to properly reward a side coming from the basement of 18' and producing a marvelous display against a 15 man AFL side..

Then we have the wonderful PERTH NOW - an absolute joke and farce of a rag best suited for those outdoor houses of yesteryear - pooppooppeeedooo..
Honestly when you open the WAFL side of this online joke, We are still reckoning with the Palmer episodes of months previous and little to no recognition under the Site banner of "WAFL" .. click it to enter the land of WAFC hollow rooms and media sadness.
Why not just stop reporting altogether PERTH NOW and remove the WAFL tab on the site - it would make little difference to what been offered now.:woohoo:

Just a little miffed at how our own WA state media treat the State League and the marvelous efforts of all within the playing fields and surrounds of every team in it.
F........K you and the dead horse you road in on!!

OoOoPPS - did I say that out loud??

But ending on a High - Good on us at EFFC - the doors opening and the lights beginning to flood in :P
