EFFC Football Manager Darren Fry has been appointed Fremantle AFLW and New Generation Academy Manager.

Obviously well credentialed with great references.

Working in the WA Football system can often have comparisons to having a job in the Public Service. Jobs for the boys and jobs for life irrespective of performance.

Couldn't get out of there quick enough, apparently he wasn't the best. Was it Fry that over ruled the players regarding the Loersch suspension ???

Cough... Cough... Splutter... Splutter!!! Obviously looking for someone to make a real impact on their club. Things already moving in the right direction for 2019.

Be interesting to see when a new coach is appointed, a few more off field staff may be on the move plus players too....too many seasoned folk been on EF list with little success..... time for a fresh outlook.....that's if the club doesn't take the easy option and look internally.....as you say Observer, a move in the right direction for 2019......perhaps the new coach will have a say in the next football manager appointment......if so, an appointment may be sooner rather than later for coach...time will tell.

Whilst the Loersch decision doesn't send out a good message, at least the kid put in a worthy performance of 6.3 to back up that decision....... there surely must be more of a story to it......but whilst not a good look, nor has the apparent insipid performances and onfield bitching, that a few opposition fans have noticed when their side has played EF, by the EF senior players.....but then again if the fella isn't a team player by missing recovery sessions, then a kick up the arse is more important than kicking 6 goals in a one off match....sums up EF current state of affairs on and off the field.....the season can't end quick enough me thinks...

Truly a fresh start is coming- be interesting to see who takes up the challenge. I guess with a new coach and a new football manager- you'd think those players still there might get another chance- be hard to move them on without seeing their behaviours. Having said that, love to see the broom come out.

What position will be filled first? Anyone heard any rumours for this role?
