Freezin: had to turn it off the blue and whites were so uncompetitive today. Claremont did a much better job against Subi, particularly in the first half.

Where to from here? I know it’s early days, but we haven’t seen anything to make our hearts flutter with joy. Any theories? Are our big gun imports just popguns, the coach or am I jumping off too early?

Be interesting to see if Wiley has a job at the end of the year Ark......or more to the point Wiley even wants the job at the end of year..... would like to think it was a bad day at the office...but TBH seems to happen a bit too often for an EF fans liking esp in the derby...... obviously not a season ender....but definitely a testing point for all concerned down at EF for 2018.... hopefully the players show sufficient character to deliver a more competitive performance next week....and the weeks after.....

Avoiding Souths would help us in theory because they clearly are going to be thereabouts come seasons end.

Really don’t think coming on here and slagging off the Sharks is the way to go, but after 19 years of $ubis dollars buying flags and the supposed WAFL hierarchy just being sodomised by their AFL masters, I have to give up. ‘Big Griff’ as Wiley calls him, is killing us, Winton should be sent back to Peel, and don’t get me started about Jupp. But all that is not being respectful to the Puppies effort which was exceptional. You know you’re travelling well when Hams doesn’t duck his head once. I have to give Howson his dues as well. He at least worked back to help the defence and did a couple of good things. At least Anthony played a bit or ressies and Loersch, Kommer and McNamara might front up next week. After that we have nothing.

Today aside we have been alright but we don't string four quarters together. Souths are a very good side - so we were badly exposed, we are better matched against Perth or Claremont who you can get away with this sort of thing . Our fringe players must start to step up. Also we are too slow in both leg speed and ball movement so inside 50's for us is very hard work. When we do get it inside 50 our forwards are pretty hopeless and apply no pressure to the scoreboard or to the opposition defenders.

Does Wiley stick or twist next week boys?.....as u say Ti Em....EF are miles away from the good sides like Subi and SF......today just confirms that......all EF fans want is a competitive performance....does Wiley bite the bullet and get some footy into the likes of Scott and Bailey.....surely both youngsters would be worth a go and keen to put their hand up.....

across all three grades though the club has won a total of 3 games out of 12.....not a good start for all EF new coaching team......

Agree with a lot of your comments Ti Em. Smashed in contested ball all game and the centre clearance stat must have been as horrific as the rest. Do we have the right mix of inside and outside mids, we have plenty outside but they are not that quick across the ground. We seem to play a possession style game but don't have the skill level to execute it. A total of 305 disposals for 19 F50 entries and South 369 disposals for 71 entries. Slow and indirect ball movement has been a constant for seasons now. Kommer was a loss around the contest, Jansen tries hard inside as does Schofield but Marsh may have to get on ball more often as not sure we have a lot of others that can win enough inside ball.

I think there will only be a few changes because who can you really bring in and what will it change? Ben Harding might come in or Jesse Wynne, Joseph Hebiton. This alone will change nada. The 22 have to step up collectively and start putting in 4 quarters not 2 and a half. It is not fair to blame Jupp or Winton for todays hiding. Who would want to be a sharks defender on a day like today? Forwards generally get the ball when mid fielders give it to them.
